Transport Canada’s Office of Boating Safety offers valuable information on the safe and responsible operation of
pleasure boating in Canada.
It also provides information on compliance and conformity labelling, licensing, regulations, publications, and how
to obtain a Pleasure Craft Operator Card.

Shoal Marker Buoys
At Lake Bernard the underwater hazards are distributed throughout the lake.
Those rocks located on the main boating channels are marked by white
coloured buoys that carry red and yellow reflective tape.

Yellow marker buoys (yellow balls) remind boaters where to avoid
Eurasian milfoil beds as much as possible.
