Historical Maps

Various maps have been created through the decades that cover more than simply the shoreline of the lake. They range from those displaying the natural world such as vegetation, geology and topography to those addressing the social dimension such as the distribution of roads and properties. They also cover specific topics such as the distribution of invasive species and the changes that have taken place to our shoreline. When seen through the lens of time they offer a fuller view of the forces that have shaped our lake and its community through time. Our collection is sparse compared to what we know is ‘out there’. Please help us build this important resource.  Contact archives@lacbernard.ca.
