If we want to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the history of Lake Bernard we need to look beyond its immediate boundaries. The general store in Lascelles, our first and only entry thus far in this section, is an excellent example. In addition to serving the needs of cottagers around the lake it has become a hub for social interactions that have linked the Lac Bernard community with the wider regional community. Understanding its history as well as the history of other places, people, and events that surround the lake will be invaluable in developing that comprehensive knowledge that we can all appreciate. Your suggestions would be most welcome.
